TRIP OVERVIEW

Craft Beer and Whitewater Rafting on the Middle Fork American River

Nothing pairs better than beer and rafting! This two-day experience seamlessly blends whitewater rafting with a thoughtfully curated craft beer experience. Put on in partnership with Crooked Lane Brewing, and guided by the owner and brewer, Teresa Psuty, you’ll savor tastings of diverse array of beers including our collab brew, River Daze Hazy IPA. After each day on the river, guests will enjoy learning about the brewing process, Crooked Lane Brewing’s featured beers, and cheers to the river experience. Each pour will be accompanied by engaging stories and expert pairings! From campfire sessions to riverside meals, the trip offers a flavorful journey that celebrates the craft of brewing in the heart of nature, making it perfect for beer connoisseurs and outdoor adventurers.

Our 2-day, 1-night rafting trip starts by meeting in the morning at Crooked Lane Brewing in Auburn. After taking a shuttle to the put-in, the real fun begins as we take on a challenging 18-mile section of the Middle Fork American River on day one. After a thrilling start, we’ll ease back the pace so you can enjoy the beauty of the lush, forested canyon and hopefully spot some wildlife. We’ll spend our night together camped on a remote, riverside beach. The next day, we’ll get back on the river and test our mettle on several other Class III and Class IV rapids. At the end of the second day, we’ll shuttle back to our meet up point, Crooked Lane Brewing. From there you will have the opportunity to tour the brewery and see first hand the beer making process. Plus it’s a perfect spot to end – cheers with new friends, grab a 6-pack or growler of your favorite tasters, and relive the moments from the trip.

The Middle Fork American River rafting is a challenging, advanced river with numerous Class IV rapids. It is fun and fast and one you will always remember!
