Cancellations & Refunds

Our Amended Cancellation Policy in response to the COVID-19 pandemic (as of 3/19/2020)

For current booking(s)

If you have an upcoming booking that you need to change or cancel. We have adapted our Cancellation policy to the following for any rafting trips that begin on or before Friday May 15, 2020:

  • For trips cancelled before 30 days of trip start date, the same cancellation policy applies.
  • For trips cancelled within 30 days of trip start date, we will issue a full refund in the form of a Gift Certificate. 

For trips after May 15th our regular Cancellation Policy is still in effect, for the time being, we will be updating as the situation unfolds. We are  hoping that travel plans will be unaffected by that time. We will also re-asses our policy if needed. 

If you are planning to make a new booking

If you are planning ahead and want to make a new booking, we are currently accepting new reservations with no deposit needed to hold your space(s). We want to encourage you to plan your trip accordingly without the risk of monetary loss. As the situation improves we will contact you with payment plan information. 

Trip Insurance

We always encourage our guests to purchase travelers insurance in case of unexpected changes in plans. Our industry is sometimes at the mercy of mother nature and therefore trip options and or availability can change at the last minute.

Cancellations / Refunds

Due to our limited trip sizes, we turn away others once your reservation has been submitted. If you must cancel your trip, please notify us as soon as possible.

If you cancel 31+ days before your rafting trip: Upon receipt of a written notice, you will receive a refund less your deposit. The deposit is available as credit in the form of a Gift Certificate good for 24 months. 

If you cancel within 30 days of the trip: Sorry no refunds, but you are welcome to substitute another person with no penalty.

If you are utilizing a promotional voucher or gift certificate for payment, and you wish to change the date of your trip 31 days or more prior to your scheduled date, there will be a $50/person penalty for one-day trips and a $100/person penalty for two-day trips. Within 30 days of a trip there are no refunds allowed.

Although it is highly unlikely, we reserve the right to cancel or modify a trip due to insufficient reservations, water conditions, weather, or other conditions beyond our control. There will be a full trip credit issued for any trip cancelled by Adventure Connection. Our financial liability is limited to the amount paid to Adventure Connection and shall not cover any other costs incurred by trip members.

Responsibility / Trip Insurance

Despite the safety of rafting, prospective participants must understand that all river voyages involve some risk. Adventure Connection assumes no responsibility for injury to trip members, their personal belongings, or for time or expense incurred. We therefore require all trip members to sign a liability release and assumption of risk form prior to embarking on a trip. The determination of any participant’s fitness for a river trip is the sole responsibility of said participant.

Trip cancellation, accident and baggage insurance is very important. Such coverage will protect you against the possibility of expensive emergency medical aid or evacuation, loss of baggage due to theft or damage, and cancellation of your trip due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
