Hot Apple Cider on the American River

We are Running the South Fork American in October

We are in awe of this EPIC 2023 whitewater rafting season!

Temps are beautiful on the American River and we are rafting our 1/2 day Class 3 Gorge trip on weekends through October!

  • To celebrate the season we are offering hot apple cider and other goodies, fresh from Apple Hill, after every whitewater rafting trip in October.
  • We’ve also adjusted our trip time to the warmest part of the day and Gorge trips will now begin at 12pm, noon, on Saturdays.
  • AND we’ve reduced the price to only $89 per person.

Updated pricing and trip times for October are reflected after you click “book now”.

Pumpkins on the American

Did you know that placing pumpkins on the bridge in Lotus is an American River tradition?

As the story goes, many years ago a family woke up one day to find pumpkins placed all over their yard. They decided to move them to the bridge over the river in Lotus. The tradition is still going strong today and you might even spot pumpkins along the river.

The pumpkins have become part of rafting American River in October – come see for yourself!
