White Water Rafting on the North Fork American River Near Sacramento
The North Fork American River provides fun, yet challenging, white water rafting. The rapids are close together, and action packed with big drops and large boulders in the river. Some of the rapids we tackle include Slaughter’s Sluce, Tounge in Groove, Zig Zag, Achille’s Heel and Bogus Thunder.
We meet in Auburn, California at Crooked Lane Brewing in the morning and depart (with a bit of off roading) to the put in near Colfax. Upon arrival you will see what makes this river so special, the water is emerald green and there are amazing rocks lining the banks of the river.
After you conquer the run we will shuttle you back to your vehicle so you can cheers to the day at the brewery post trip!
North Fork rafting trips are only available in the spring when the free flowing river is getting snowpack melt from the Sierra’s. They are not for first time rafters, wet suites are mandatory and swimming skills are required.
