TRIP OVERVIEW

Snake River / Hells Canon – Deepest River Canyon in North American

Rafting the Snake River is a well known bucket list item for any outdoor enthusiast. As the deepest river canyon in North America (yes, even deeper then the Grand Canyon!) and bordering the states of Idaho and Oregon the whitewater experience is truly unmatched. With mountain tops towering nearly 8,000ft over the river our 4 day wilderness camp and raft trip is a incredible, unique and off-the-grid getaway for groups, families and friends.

In addition to it being a fishing hot spot for bass, trout, sturgeon, and steelhead the area offers  diverse wildlife, including bighorn sheep, bald eagles, whooping cranes, and even the occasional grizzly bear. (We see bighorn sheep on nearly every trip!) The landscape features desert like red rocks that tower above you as you float on the clear blue waters. Throughout the rafting trip we stop at old sheep herd ranches and step into their green oasis, who’s pastures were created by the water run off of the mountains above. A wildly beautiful juxtaposition of the landscape around.

After we are done rafting each day there are several opportunities to explore the area on foot with singletrack trails accessible at many camp locations. Or just sit back, relax and soak it all in… we take care of the rest (ppst… including the cooking and set up).
