Wine and Beer trails and tasting rooms have been popping up all over the place especially here in California. Perfect for enthusiasts and newbies the award-winning wineries in El Dorado, Placer and Nevada Counties are attracting visitors worldwide. Sure we have Napa and Sonoma counties, but those are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the varietals and blends the vintners and brewmasters have come up with.

Home to some of the best whitewater rafting trips in California on the American River, Truckee River, and Yuba River the Gold Country is bursting with organic farms, olive orchards, olive vineyards, wineries, and locally owned micro-breweries creating their own craft beers. Small town charm gives visitors an opportunity to converse with owners, winemakers, brewmasters, farmers and the locals. Combine wine tasting and whitewater rafting while picking your own produce before heading home – many locations are accessible right off of Highways 50 and 80 between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe.
