A whitewater rafting trip for church groups makes for a great outdoor adventure for all ages! As we have so many different California rafting trips to choose from, we are sure we have the perfect trip for you. Please call us for assistance in choosing, check out our Choosing Your Rafting Trip page, or also see below for some guidelines and suggestions. Choice of river trip will very much depend on youngest or oldest member of party, swimming and athletic ability (choose based on the less able in the group), length of rafting trip and desired location.
Some religious groups may have requirements about gender specific guides, attire and food restrictions. We have comfortably dealt with all these issues in the past and are more than willing to work with your church group to accommodate whatever needs your group has.
Choosing the right rafting trip:
The South Fork American, and Truckee River are our most popular rafting trips for mixed groups, but a wide range of rivers are available for all ages (from 4 yrs) and ability levels. Both river trips provide class 2 and 3 rapids and are suitable for non-swimmers.
For youth groups and groups with kids we suggest also looking at our Rafting with Children page for guidelines on trips suitable for the different age groups.
The Middle Fork American River is very popular with adventurous groups. Its class 3-4 rapids in a 17 mile scenic, rugged canyon requires all participants to have good swimming abilities. The minimum age is 13 years.
Pricing & Discounts:
River trip pricing will depend on the trip, time of year and number of participants. Off season pricing is available before mid-June and after Labor Day. We will be glad to give you a quote on a particular trip and date. Also be sure to check our Hot Deals.
Also see our discounts page. Ask about our Group Folder system if you will have difficulty collecting from everyone. This does limit the discount available, but definitely saves some stress and lets us take care of more of the work for you.
