TRIP OVERVIEW

Half day Deschutes River rafting trips are guided white water adventures meeting in Maupin, Oregon. These trips are close to Bend & Portland making them perfect for a day trip. Half day trips are offered both in the AM and the PM.

Upon arrival at the put in we will make sure everyone is outfitted with the proper gear and chat about some safety tips before we get on the river. The Deschutes is a wide river offering lots of fun for families.

River Stone Adventures is a Tributary Whitewater Tours partner specializing in whitewater rafting trips in Central Oregon. River Stone Adventures offers various rafting expeditions on the Deschutes River that are designed to be safe, fun, and accessible for participants, including families and beginners.

We’ve partnered with River Stone Adventures to offer our guests a variety of whitewater rafting options on the Deschutes River. All 1/2 day and 1 day Deschutes River rafting trips are operated and guided by River Stone Adventures.

  • At put in you will be outfitted with PFD, helmet (optional) and paddle, and a safety talk will be given before you get on the river

No matter what your travel mode is, we recommend arriving the night before your adventure. In Maupin, you can choose from a range of options, from cabin to camping.

  • Oasis Cabin Resort: Adorable cabins in Maupin, Oregon, where you adventure bigs. Make sure to book early, as they can fill quickly!
  • Camping at Maupin City ParkThis camp is the closest to our meeting location. It offers tent camping, group sites, and RV parking with full hookups.
  • Camping at Prineville BLMFirst come, first served camping for tents and RVs along the Lower Deschutes River Backcountry Byway.
  • Stay at Pine Hollow Lakeside ResortTent camping, RV spaces, cabins, and more. Located on Pine Hollow Reserve, just 25 minutes from Maupin.
