The North Yuba River Wild Plum Run is  only available as a custom trip. Previous paddling experience with Tributary is required for this trip or for those with verifiable solid Class 5 previous experience with another California rafting outfitter.

From a technical standpoint this is a more difficult run than the Class 5 section of Moss Canyon! It has the shortest season of any of the other sections of the North Yuba River, as downstream flows are increased by the addition of flows from the Downie River and several large side creeks.

We meet at our Tributary camp off Highway 49 near Indian Valley campground in the morning and shuttle up to the Haypress Creek put in stopping to scout major rapids from the road along the way. This trip offers high mountain scenery and plenty of Class 5 action with the most noteworthy section being Ladies Canyon. We have lunch on the river and take out the rafts at Union Flat for refreshments and a shuttle back to your vehicles.

Wetsuits or Dry Suits are required for this trip. Wetsuit rentals from Tributary are $10 or you are welcome to bring your own. Dry Suit rentals are not provided but available in Auburn, CA.

Tributary Whitewater Tours operates under permit from the Tahoe National Forest Yuba River Ranger District and is an equal opportunity service provider.
